
Caroline currently serves as the Director of Social Measurement and Evaluation at CHILDREN AT RISK, where she leads the organization’s data collection and academic partnerships. In this role, she also serves as a managing editor for two peer-reviewed journals, the Journal of Applied Research on Children and Journal of Family Strengths. At CHILDREN AT RISK, she has lead and participated in a range of projects including the organization’s statewide School Rankings, Growing Up in Houston publication, and contract research and evaluation projects, and has gained experience in education policy, grant writing, event coordination and online communications.
Caroline graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Sociology and the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality and completed her senior research project on the gender gap in Greater Houston’s high school dropout rates. She came to CHILDREN AT RISK as an intern to assist with the organization’s School Rankings project, and joined the CHILDREN AT RISK staff as a Project Associate in May 2009. Caroline’s research interests include children, education, inequality, and quantitative methods.
