Texas School Guide

We are proud to produce Texas School Guide: Empowering Parents to Succeed in Public Education for Dallas ISD and Fort Worth ISD areas, as well as an online resource, TexasSchoolGuide.org, that provides campus level data for all schools across the state.

Texas School Guide aims to serve as a one-stop-shop for parents wanting to maximize their child’s educational attainment. Texas School Guide contains detailed data on campuses, spanning a range of key topics from average class sizes to graduation rates. The guide also goes one step further by utilizing the CHILDREN AT RISK Public School Rankings to indicate how each campus performs relative to its peers. This performance data is complemented with information for parents around charter and magnet school application processes, questions parents should be asking to determine if a school is right for their child, and information on how parents can serve as strong advocates for high quality public education.

CHILDREN AT RISK hosts parent and community workshops on how to use the resource, which are held throughout the year. The meetings are targeted towards specific audiences and explains pertinent information in the resource, helps parents understand how to use the guide and answers questions they might have. If you would like to request a workshop in your community, please email TexasSchoolGuide@childrenatrisk.org.
