About Alyssa

Alyssa Purcell spent time in Austin, Texas and Chicago, Illinois before moving to Houston. She received a BA in Politics and Government from North Park University in Chicago Illinois in 2013. A long-time volunteer for human trafficking and women’s initiatives, Alyssa began her non-profit career at Avondale House where she served as the Development and Communications Coordinator. She joins the team at CHILDREN AT RISK because she fervently believes that all children deserve the best opportunities to grow, learn and lead a healthy life no matter their gender, race, religion or socio-economic status.
