150 Miles: Health in the Borderlands

April 7, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

This virtual summit will explore the needs, barriers, and best practices surrounding children’s health in the US-Mexico border region. Join us to hear from health experts and leaders in the fields of medicine, public policy, and social justice on how state and national policymakers can support children’s health and wellbeing. Our conversation will examine best practices in health access and dive into the innovative care strategies of communities living near the border. This virtual summit has been generously sponsored by Amazon, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, and the UT Health Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living and is presented in partnership with the United Way of Southern Cameron County, Paso del Norte Health Foundation, United Way of El Paso County, Boys & Girls Club of McAllen, Doctors for Change, MHP Salud, Valley Baptist Health System, and Texas Family Leadership Council (TXFLC).

We are pleased to offer 2.5 Advanced-level CHES/MCHES Credits for this summit! The Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living is a Designated Provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) or Certified Health Education Specialists/Master Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES/MCHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.
