This virtual summit, made possible by The Edward N. and Margaret G. Marsh Foundation, will convene the most innovative thinking on the role of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions in anti-trafficking work. Advancements made in the tech sector hold consequences for traffickers and those working to counter trafficking. Technology is used to the detriment of victims through social media to contact and recruit, post advertisements of services that can be purchased from their victims, and communicate with buyers within trafficking rings. However, technological advancements provide opportunities to monitor activity, locate and provide victims with resources, collect and analyze data leading to the prosecution of traffickers, and streamline communication between anti-trafficking actors and agencies. Join us as we discuss ICT solutions to this challenging issue.
This summit is presented in partnership with the Texas Family Leadership Council (TXFLC), the Texas Racial Equity Collaborative (TREC), Collective Liberty, SAFVIC Systems, Allies Against Slavery, Demand Disruption, No Trafficking Zone, Untethered Ministries, The Landing, 3Strands Global Foundation, The Net FW, BlackMaple.io, Ignite Synergy, Global Tech Bridge Initiative (GTBI), and the Paso Del Norte Center of Hope.
