Cuba 2023 Learning Tour
March 7 - March 12$2500
CHILDREN AT RISK will lead a learning tour March 7 – 12, 2023 to educate guests and staff on health, education and welfare issues facing children in Havana, Cuba and how it applies to children in the U.S.
Besides meeting with education and health organizations, our days will include tours of Habana Vieja (Old Havana), which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982.
Havana is the capital and largest city of Cuba with a population of 2.1 million inhabitants and it is full of authentic architectural treasures from different periods offering one of the most comprehensive collections of urban buildings in all America. This area of the city alone is home to more than a thousand buildings of historical importance with numerous examples of distinguished architecture ranging from Baroque to Art Deco.
In the evenings, guests will dine at Paladares, which are family-run restaurants providing vivid interaction with Cuban reality, and homemade Cuban food.
The cost is $2,500 per person and covers hotel, ground transportation, most meals plus visits to cultural sites. Airfare, Cuban tourist card, and personal expenses are not included.
