Director of Development - Houston
Charanya Ravikumar holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from U.T. Austin. She started her career as a Systems Engineer at Dell in Austin, TX. During that time, Charanya volunteered with several non-profits and planned community service projects for Dell employees through the Asians in Motion networking group. She is a long-time volunteer with Asha for Education and has planned and executed key fundraising initiatives for the organization. After 7 years as an engineer, Charanya decided to switch career paths and obtained a Nonprofit Management certification from Duke University. She joined CHILDREN AT RISK as Assistant Director of Development in September 2015 and focuses on foundation and corporate funding. Charanya has always been passionate about children’s causes, but especially more now as a mother of two young children. She is committed to making Texas a great place for all children to grow up in.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a doctor.

ME! I am an aspiring thespian!

For every child to be able to access quality education and meet their full potential!
