About Lissa Cordova-Leon

Lissa serves as a Project Coordinator for Center for Social Measurement and Evaluation and the Center for Parenting at Children at Risk.  She attended Florida International University as an undergrad, where she majored in International Relations with a focus on Latin American Studies and Human Rights. After graduating from college, Lissa worked as a paralegal working with unaccompanied minors and victims of human trafficking for Americans for Immigrant Justice in Miami, FL. She then moved to New York City to pursue a Master’s degree in International Relations with a concentration in human rights from New York University. Passionate about advocating for children’s rights, Lissa interned for the United Nations Special Representative to the Secretary General on Children in Armed Conflict while still pursuing her Master’s. She is excited to serve Texas children and advocate for their rights and access to better opportunities.
