The Hats Off to Children Reception will honor key North Texas Partners and celebrate our successes! We ask for your support to ensure that CHILDREN AT RISK can continue to make Texas a place where our children can thrive! We consider the whole child by tracking issues in children’s health, safety, education, and economic security. Committed to action beyond the data, CHILDREN AT RISK drives evidence-based change by advocating on behalf of children.
Sophia Johnson is founder and president of ABI, a Dallas-based advertising and marketing firm that has grown to become a leading agency for the transportation, education and healthcare industries and for non-profit organizations and one of the largest woman-owned ad agencies in the country. Johnson is Chair of the Committee on Trustees and Governance for Dallas Museum of Art, an advisory board member for Center for BrainHealth and United to Learn and the immediate past Chair of FRIENDS of Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy. Johnson is the proud mom of four, the youngest a Baylor Bear, and is best friends with her husband, Willis Johnson.
Willis Johnson is CEO and Founder of JBJ Marketing, LLC doing business as (DBA) JBJ Management, a public affairs firm that provides strategic support services in government relations, public engagement, equity compliance, media production and technology. His approach to business and attention to detail has earned him numerous awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dallas Business Journal, the NAACP prestigious Corporate Leadership and Entrepreneurship Award and in 2019, he was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. Johnson was born and raised in Gladewater, TX. He and his wife Sophia live in Dallas.
