Dear Friends and Advocates,
At CHILDREN AT RISK, we believe that every child deserves a fair shot at success—and we know that it takes all of us to make that happen. Whether you’re a policymaker, educator, donor, volunteer, or advocate, your partnership has helped drive meaningful change for children across Texas.
As we reflect on 2024, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. This past year, we leaned into what we do best—connecting across communities, listening closely to those on the ground, and turning insight into impact. From roundtables with educators to direct conversations with families and local leaders, these experiences shaped the advocacy we’re carrying into the 89th Texas Legislative Session.
We know that strong policy is rooted in real stories and rigorous data. And we know that lasting change happens when people come together around shared values and a belief that all children, regardless of background, deserve access to opportunity.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on breaking down barriers and opening new doors for Texas children. With the strength of this community, the dedication of our team, and a vision grounded in equity, I believe we’re poised to make 2025 our most impactful year yet.
For Children!
