Inspire — Bain Houston
What originally interested you in working with CHILDREN AT RISK (C@R) and the Center for Parenting and Family Well-Being (CPFWB)?
C@R’s mission fits perfectly with Inspire’s mission to partner with nonprofit organizations dedicated to the education, development, and well-being of school-aged children. It was a perfect match!
Can you briefly explain your work with C@R and what you hope to accomplish as the end result of the CPFWB project?
CPFWB has really exciting 5-year growth plans, and our work focuses on helping them ensure that this growth is sustainable. By the end of this engagement, we hope to leave CPFWB with a set of tools (metrics and infrastructure) to efficiently communicate with and manage the partners and providers that they work with today, and the many more that they will work with in the future. We also hope that CPFWB will be better equipped to identify pockets of need and recruit the ideal mix of partners to address that need.
What do you think the benefits are of the business sector partnering with nonprofits?
Partnering with nonprofits gives businesses a chance to really engage and have a positive impact on the community. In our case, working with CPFWB gave us the opportunity to take the analytical skills we use in our day jobs and apply them in a way that will really have a positive impact on the futures of so many children in our community.
Is there anything surprising you have learned through your work with C@R and the CPFWB?
Members of our team have worked closely with many for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Needless to say, we were really blown away by the CPFWB team. They were always so responsive, insightful, helpful, and so much fun to work with. We genuinely looked forward to each working session and update!
What is one reason someone should give their time, effort, and support to CHILDREN AT RISK?
It is a wonderful organization with a clear and impactful vision, driven by incredibly smart people who are so passionate about C@R’s cause. They are truly a pleasure to work with!
