ELQN Partners in Action

From hands-on early learning kits to dynamic training sessions, our vendors are bringing quality initiatives to life across Harris County! A few of them took the time to share updates, express appreciation, and reflect on the impact these opportunities are having in their communities. We’re proud to highlight their stories and celebrate the progress we’re making together.

A note from Frog Street

Fun times were had with Fanny Frog and our gracious hostesses, Rebecca, Julie & Shekeylia as we embarked on a thrilling Community Tour of the 77379 area and especially St. Ignatius Early Childhood Center & Beginners World Learning Center on July 15th.  A big Frog Street thank you to Ms. Lange, Ms. Amal, Ms. Vera & Ms. Donn for taking time from your busy schedules to visit with Frog Street and learn more about how to apply for fabulous Frog Street instructional resources for their early childhood programs.

Stephen Gonzales, Frog Street Sales Director, will be out and about meeting with more providers.  Please contact him at sgonzales@frogstreet.com or (281) 799-9740 to schedule a visit or learn more about how to apply for instructional materials.  Also, look for us at the August 4th Harris County Early Learning Quality Network Back to School Bash!

A note from National Literacy Institute

We had a fantastic time at the Playful Minds Family Engagement Event on July 21! Families came together to enjoy hands-on activities, explore early literacy tools, and connect with community resources. Children ages 0–8 dove into creative play and learning, while adults gained helpful tips for supporting learning at home. We were especially excited to distribute Playful Minds Learning Kits to our approved applicants — packed with books, sensory tools, and engaging resources! Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun, joyful afternoon of learning and connection.

A note from Rupani Foundation

Applications are now open for training and professional development programs available to both child care providers and informal caregivers. The application period opened on May 12, 2025, and while originally scheduled to close on July 12, the deadline has been extended to August 30, 2025.

A note from Easter Seals

We are so excited to be working with the YMCA and HCPL.  They have welcomed us into their events and helped us to build interest and spread the word about the project with community members, encouraging people to apply immediately as there are limited spots.  The community members seem excited about the Early Learning Kits we are putting together for them and about the information we will be sharing during the workshops.  We are getting close to filling all of the spots for YMCA spots!
