Serving Harris County Precincts 1, 2, 3 & 4
Helps parents/guardians, caregivers, and child care workers in Harris County enhance children’s learning through training, coaching, and resources. Eligible child care workers may also receive stipends if their child care program has applied and been approved.
Eligibility Criteria
This initiative serves the following Harris County zip codes: 77009, 77015, 77021, 77022, 77027, 77029, 77032, 77033, 77036, 77037, 77039, 77044, 77047, 77048, 77049, 77051, 77056, 77057, 77060, 7072, 77074, 77076, 77081, 77091, 77099, 77379, 77530
Community-Based Training Eligibility Criteria:
Community members (parents or informal caregivers) in designated zip codes at or below 85% of the State Median Income (SMI). Parents/guardians must live in the eligible zip code, or informal caregivers who either live in or provide child care within the zip code are eligible to apply for the program.
Informal caregivers are defined as those who provide care for children ages 0-8 for a minimum of 10 hours a week.
Provider Training and Coaching Eligibility:
Child care workers at child care centers and child care homes participating in the Child Care Services (CCS) program within in designated zip codes. Child Care Center providers must be located within eligible zip codes to qualify for this program.
