CHILDREN AT RISK is hosting policy roundtables in 11 major cities around Texas throughout the fall. During the roundtables, C@R will be discussing the upcoming 88th Texas Legislative Session and leading local conversations around legislative priorities to build a robust child care industry to support families and the Texas workforce.
We will also be reviewing the status of early childhood education in Texas, sharing data from our Child Care Desert Map with a focus on child care closures across the state, as well as discussing the utilization of federal relief dollars for child care, post-pandemic recovery efforts and the impact of recent child care instability on communities of color.
