2025 Early Childhood Education Summit

Join us on August 14th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM for a virtual summit that will explore the evolving landscape of early childhood systems in Texas following the 89th Legislative Session.
As we move into the interim period, Texas is presented with critical opportunities to strengthen how early childhood programs are governed and coordinated. With Sunset agency reviews underway, the newly established Governor’s Task Force on the Governance of Early Childhood Education and Care, and the Quad-Agency Child Care Initiative Commission bringing together TEA, HHSC, and TWC, this summit will provide a timely space to reflect on recent progress, explore upcoming shifts, and consider what’s needed to ensure high-quality care and education for all young Texans.
Hear from legislative leaders, advocates, and early childhood experts as they reflect on recent policy outcomes, discuss implications for providers and families, and examine how coordinated governance efforts could shape the future of early childhood in Texas. A focused data overview will ground our conversation, highlighting emerging trends and critical questions for the year ahead.
