CHILDREN AT RISK is deeply concerned that today’s government shutdown is putting children and families at risk. Essential programs that millions rely on, from child care to education, nutrition, and community supports, should never be bargaining chips. Every day of delay threatens the stability, health, and future of our youngest Texans and their families.
We urge Congress to put families first and work together quickly to restore government funding. Children and families need certainty, not chaos. Now is the time for leaders to come together and ensure that every child has access to the resources and opportunities they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
