The Future of San Antonio: Investing in the Long-term Social Determinants of Health Outcomes of Children cohosted by CHILDREN AT RISK and Family Service will create a forum in which our community can explore what a future looks like in which children thrive. Join us on the beautiful campus of University of Texas San Antonio from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for an experience that will convene stakeholders from the San Antonio region invested in the well-being of children and families and include a data presentation on the State of San Antonio Children.
Our goal is to convene leaders that can look at what children are experiencing now, and together, create collaborative solutions that can help build a future in which San Antonio’s children succeed. This presentation will pay particular attention to social determinants of health San Antonio children face based on a wide array of child well-being indicators and can be used by community partners, local leaders, policymakers, and other stakeholders to inform their policy platform and decisions.
We will also feature an expert panel discussion on key metrics on child well-being and recommendations on ways to improve the lives of San Antonio children. A Q&A session will provide opportunities for additional dialogue and feedback collection. Attendees will walk away from what will be an amazing event, armed with data to drive positive change for children!
We ask for your support as an event sponsor for this collaborative partnership between CHILDREN AT RISK and Family Service as both agencies strive to make Texas a place where our children can thrive! CHILDREN AT RISK considers the whole child by tracking issues in children’s health, safety, education, and economic security. The collaboration is a natural fit as Family Service takes a comprehensive approach to empowering individuals and families to transform their lives and strengthen their communities by providing services that address social determinants of health through a trauma-informed care lens. Both agencies are committed to action beyond the data to drive evidence-based change by advocating on behalf of children and families.
