Each fall, CHILDREN AT RISK brings early childhood leaders and stakeholders together for community-centered conversations in 12 major Texas cities to exchange insights, examine regional experiences, and envision a stronger future for child care across Texas. This year, C@R experts will dive into statewide policy developments, including the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission review process, the Governor’s Task Force on Early Childhood Education and Care, and community-informed priorities for the 90th Texas Legislature beginning in January 2027. Participants will also explore the latest research on Child Care Deserts, including C@R’s newest “chronic desert” measure, as well as local investments in child care quality.
Join CHILDREN AT RISK’S Early Education team on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (CST) to provide local insight from Austin and help shape the future of children in Texas.
